When Dr. Chris is hired as a professional college planning consultant, she provides answers to her students and their parents about every aspect of the college counseling process.
College Path’s goal is to:
- provide continuous and expert guidance through the entire admissions process
- help the student learn how to present his or her best self to colleges
- encourage the student to take charge of their own college search
- review the student’s grades, coursework, transcript and test scores
- offer designs for student activities resume and/or use of portfolio
- conduct self assessment and career interest inventory
- match student profile, needs and goals to appropriate schools/colleges
- review topics for student essays for college applications
- recommend strategies for student interview and college visit
- research summer opportunities/volunteer work
- understand the use of recommendations to enhance the student’s profile
- offer guidelines and resources for Financial Aid and educational costs
- discuss international placement and study abroad opportunities
- introduce the use of technology as a tool for the career search and college application process
- make the entire process less stressful, more effective, and manageable from start to finish
